STEVEN JONES | HOLLYWOOD CONFIDENTIAL CREATOR

10-year industry professional, Steven L. Jones, is a brand strategist who represents urban and mainstream personalities and corporations alike, helping his respective clientele identify the best ways of increasing global brand visibility through a series of tailor-made, scalable solutions.

Having an innate ability for identifying trends before they hit ground level, Jones first entered the Industry in ‘00 as a digital brand moderator for Multi-platinum selling girl group, Destiny’s Child. That experience and interest in then underexposed digital world would later serve as a major advantage in his blossoming career. After graduating from college in ‘04 with degrees in both Communication and Business administration, Jones and three fellow Ohio State Alumni formed an entertainment company (VGS&L Entertainment), where he served as CEO for ten years.

Jones built a fast reputation as a creative mind and credible interface between major brands and targeted brand initiatives, spearheading major campaigns and brokering deals with the likes or Coca-Cola, Southwest Airlines and L’Oreal at the very inception of his career. Jones’s previous experience in the digital world gave him the tools and knowledge to be a step ahead of the rest, ensuring that his clients would have strong digital presence and innovative ideas from conception to execution. Past and current clientele include Colgate, Walgreens, Tia & Tamera (STYLE), Kelly Rowland, AKON, Brandy, Veteran actresses Kimberly Elise and Meagan Good, Sony BMG, Columbia Records, VH1, FOX, Warner Brothers Studios, SONY/Screen Gems Studios and more.

Jones’ expertises within the worlds of entertainment and pop-culture have afforded him several opportunities to speak on major panels, seminars and global media outlets, being featured as a guest business and entertainment correspondent with CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360.” He has also been featured on CNN’s sister station HLN (Headline News) on their hit show “Showbiz Tonight” with A.J. Hammer.

Now president of his own company, Brand Maverick Entertainment, Jones has sights set on impacting the worlds of T.V. & Film, with several projects in queue. He’s also developed a passion for educating aspiring entertainment professionals on the inner-workings of the entertainment industry through a panel series he created entitled “The Hollywood Confidential,” already reaching thousands of attendees & over 20million digital impressions.
