MEAGAN GOOD

With over 30 years in the game, actress, producer, director, philanthropist, and New York Timesbest-selling author Meagan Good has cemented her place within Hollywood’s history books, and in many ways, she’s just getting started.

Sixty (60) plus national TV commercials to her credit, Good made her debut into the world of acting when she was just 4 years old. Appearing in shows such as Doogie Howser and Amen at the inception of career, Good went on to lead Nickelodeon’s critically acclaimed show Cousin Skeeter for three seasons. But it was her breakout film role in “Eve’s Bayou” opposite Samuel L. Jackson that provided her the opportunity to show and prove with a riveting performance that garnered NAACP Image Award and The Hollywood Reporter Award nominations alike. Starring in blockbuster films like Anchorman 2 opposite Will Ferrell and the Think Like a Manfranchise (parts one & two) opposite Kevin Hart, Good recently announced that she will be reprising her role as superhero Darla in Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the sequel to the hit DC film.

Good is also enjoying success on the small screen as the star of Amazon Prime’s ground breaking comedy series Harlem, produced by Amy Poehler, Pharrell Williams, and Girls Trip writer Tracy Oliver. When asked about the massive popularity of Harlem which was just renewed for a second season, Good stated, “There’s no place in the world like Harlem, just with the culture and the community. It was definitely a really special experience. I’m glad that we shot the show there and that is such a big part of what the feel and the energy of the show was because it’s kind of become a character, you know? Not just the backdrop.”

And is if her plate wasn’t full enough, Good has taken a step behind the scenes into producing and directing. In fact, her co-directorial feature debut, If Not Now, When? was released last January. Followed by directing her project Black Karen, in partnership with Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Productions which debuted at Sundance. Good will also be directing BET Her’s original film Thin, Like Me! which centers on a fitness model’s unhealthy relationship with food and body issues this coming July.
